Replacing your garage door for your Houston home is best left to a professional repair and and installation company. We are here to help. We replace doors affordably, making sure every homeowner can get rid of their broken door or upgrade an old one without breaking the bank.
Replacing your door is no easy task, and it is unsafe to attempt to remove it by yourself. Older doors can be very heavy, and even if you have a lighter door, you will be hard-pressed to take it out by yourself without risking a major door collapse, damage to your property, or even severe or fatal injuries to yourself. Even if you do have help, you really should not attempt to remove a garage door or install a new one. Our professional company is experienced and has the necessary tools to repair or install a garage door without a hassle. We make sure everyone and everything is safe from damage or injury, so that you can be confident replacing it.
Sectional garage doors consist of a series of panels that are connected by hinges. When the door is in motion (either opening or closing), the wheels that run along the tracks on both sides of the panel will run smoothly. The hinges in between each section (panels) will bend and then lie flat together without a problem. These are designed well, so there shouldn't be any issues with the panels breaking or rubbing against each other from friction. If you are experiencing this issue with your current door, you should definitely give us a call for a free estimate and inspection to repair the problem. There's a good chance your tracks or the door itself are misaligned.
Roll-up garage doors are ideal for garages with less or limited ceiling space. Using steel / metal slats, a roll-up is designed to roll around a studry drum. This drum is placed right above the door's opening, so it differs greatly from one that has room for the door to rest flat above the spot for your car. These doors are common in commercial properties, but can be installed in any residential property too. Replacing your roll-up door is no problem for our company, or if you'd like to fully remove another type and install a new roll-up, then that's fine too!
"Slide to the side" garage doors are unique because they do not go up or down - they go to the side when they are opened. These are common in garages that have little to no room on the ceiling for the door to lay flat on the tracks, as well as high rise garages that have a lot of space between the top part of the actual door opening and the interior garage's actual ceiling. A slide to the side door can be fully replaced with a standard top-bottom style - or if you do prefer the side-sliding style, we can replace your old one with this type of door too. However, one thing to keep in mind is that you will sacrifice room on your wall if you want to use this type of installation. If you are considering using your garage as a workshop or you would like extra storage room, we highly recommend replacing your side-sliding door so that you can use your space effectively.
If you want a door for yoru garage that swings to the side, like your standard expectation of a door in your home then a new side-hinged garage door needs to be installed. You can lock these with standard, but large and secure locks, and use a variety of different types of doors. Your garage can become a workshop, and be as secure as you wish. Replacing a side-hinged door with a new upgrade is a great idea for older swinging doors. Your new side hinge doors do not have to be extremely expensive, and come with a lot of options for protecting your home from weather. You can maximize the amount of space available in your garage, both on the ceiling, right above the garage opening, and save your side wall too. There are also options for automatic side-hinge garage doors, using a remote. Depending on the structure of your garage and your needs, doors can either swing in or out allowing for some flexibility. In cases where a garage door opening is very narrow, it is possible to widen it so that swinging garage doors can be accommodated. We can also handle all of the touchups, such as painting, trim, lighting, cameras or other wall mounted items for the outside or inside of your garage.
